Make your own Ashram-style mayo! Here are the instructions for how to make a batch of this Yasodhara staple.
- 6 egg yolks
- 6 cups sunflower oil
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 to 1.5 cups warm water
- Blend egg yolks, dijon mustard, salt and lemon juice.
- Once blended, add oil slowly in a thin, steady stream.
*** When mixture looks like it is getting thick, add about 1 tbsp if water at a time and allow it to be mixed in. Keep adding water as necessary in this same way until all the oil has been added. Mayo consistency should be silky and smooth (not thick and jellow-y).
