The world that we are living in now needs healing – the healing qualities of positivity, silence, relaxation, care, compassion and cooperation. We need to consciously access the will to bring healing forces into the world in which we live and into ourselves. – Swami Radhananda

Francine Fleming

At the end of my first yoga class in the mid-nineties I knew that I had found a life long practice. The journey began in a Hatha Yoga tradition, including teacher training in 2002. The physical practice of Hatha was a valuable foundation that gave rise to a strong desire to investigate the breadth and depth of yoga.

This desire led me to Yasodhara Ashram in 2006, where I spent a year and a half studying and learning to live the teachings of Swami Radha, and how to pass them effectively to others.

Swami Radha’s teachings have changed my life. They are the reason I get up in the morning. They are the reason I celebrate this life I have been given. Her teachings allow me to develop my full potential, they allow me to become. It is the path to my heart and into Light.

I have been a certified teacher since 2000, and teach Dream and Kundalini yoga.

Yoga has always held an attraction, since early experiences with Hatha Yoga. As my life unfolded with its challenges, I went into deeper supportive practicesfollowing the teachings of Swami Radha. Through these teachings I came to learn about mind-body connections and the power of the intuitive voice within.I have been involved in Yasodhara Yoga for over twenty years and am a certified teacher of both Hatha and Kundalini Yoga.

Wendy Blackmore

I have been a student and teacher of Yoga for over 35 years.  I have recently returned to Calgary after living at Yasodhara Ashram for 5 years.  Previous to this, I was the director of Radha Centre in Ottawa for 11 years.  As a retired psychologist, I have had a lifelong interest in bridging eastern and western psychology.  Yoga is a practical, well rounded approach to true health.

Nicole St. Arnaud

I have been practicing yoga since 1997 and was introduced to Swami Radha’s teachings and Yasodhara Ashram in 2006. I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to participate in the Yoga Development Course in 2015 and am now honoured to be a Yasodhara Teacher. The Yoga Development Course opened me up to the joy that is within me. The practice of yoga keeps me connected to the joyful feeling of acceptance and gratitude for what is.

Swami Radha’s teachings changed my life when I took my first steps in 2011. Yasodhara Yoga has helped me to find courage and acceptance of myself, of others, and all of life. The path is open to all. I completed the Yoga Development Course in 2018, and became a certified teacher soon after.
