yasodhara yoga Cranbrook
Welcome to Yasodhara Yoga Cranbrook – a small community of teachers and students who come together to expand their awareness and bring the teachings of yoga to life.
We host Hidden Language Hatha Yoga classes, Yasodhara Yoga Book Club and workshops. Class sizes are kept small, and the Yasodhara Yoga practices we offer are gentle, reflective and practical. We emphasize relaxation and self-inquiry through the in-depth, integrated approach developed by Swami Sivananda of Rishikesh and brought to the west by Swami Radha.
People of all ages, abilities and spiritual traditions are welcome.
“The world that we are living in now needs healing – the healing qualities of positivity, silence, relaxation, care, compassion and cooperation. We need to consciously access the will to bring healing forces into the world in which we live and into ourselves.” – Swami Radhananda
Please contact us if you live within or near Cranbrook and Kimberley in British Columbia if you would like to be on our Yasodhara Yoga Cranbrook mailing list.

YASODHARA YOGA BOOKCLUB
We explore the books written by Swami Radha, Swami Radhananda and Swami Lalitananda. We read a section in class, reflect on it, read our reflections and take the thread into our weekly reflections to share at the next meeting. What goes on in Book Club, stays in Book Club! It’s a supportive, safe environment to unravel and reimagine ourselves through the Yoga Teachings. People can enter in anytime during the session.

TEACHERS
Sharon Cross
Sharon Cross has been a student of Yasodhara Yoga since 1988. She took the Yoga Development Course in 1996 and has been teaching yoga ever since.
For several years “creating community” and “service to community” have been key words, which helped establish a solid and heartfelt connection to the multiple facets of her wider community. An ageing body has Sharon now approaching each day with how to serve the Divine with more ‘being’ instead of ‘doing’ .
It’s the yoga teachings that have helped her through many difficulties. Being able to give back as a Yasodhara Yoga teacher also grounds her in order to do the work she has chosen. Her yoga practices and life are intertwined.
Patricia Stock
Patricia Stock has been teaching for 30 years and has a special interest in Hidden Language Hatha Yoga (the Inner Life of Asanas). Her connection with the Ashram began in 1986 with local courses in Kundalini Yoga and Hatha Yoga. This was followed by many short courses in Cranbrook and at the Ashram. She took the Yoga Development Course in 1994 and 2016.
Yoga is part of the fabric of her life with regular Ashtanga (Flow) Yoga practice, as well as teaching two 6-week yoga courses per year: Spring and Fall. Yoga teaching is a passion she hopes to continue offering for many years to come.
