Overview
This is a full time position for the Gift shop in Yasodhara Ashram’s Welcome Centre. The
position will be predominantly managing the Gift Shop - total of 30 hours per week
beginning May, 2024.
Required Skills:
- Experience with point of sale programs
- Sales experience
- Flexible, team player who takes initiative
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain calm and friendly in what can be a busy
environment - Ease of communication with public
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all activities of the gift shop —guest reception, ordering, receiving,
display, sales, etc. - Enter information on Point of Sale system – cash sales, charge books
- Perform end of day cash reconciliations
- Oversee Gift Shop inventory
- Process gift shop order: phone, email, and online
- Welcome and check in guests and day visitors
- Assist with Ashram in events and tours
- Be part of the Welcome Centre Team – Integrated Services, Gift Store & Registrations
- Participate in weekly Welcome Centre Meetings
- Answer phones
- Have knowledge of Emergency Procedures
