Ecological Grief: A Pathway to Resilience, Self and Earth Care
Sept 25 – 28
How can we face the climate emergencies and resulting suffering on Earth with clear eyes and an open heart? How can we strengthen resilience as we deepen our capacity to act for a just and sustainable world?
This workshop provides a roadmap to metabolize pain into courage, compassion and creativity—qualities that allow us to respond with wisdom and integrity. Combining Yasodhara’s timeless yogic practices with Joanne Macy’s Work that Reconnects (deep ecology and engaged Buddhism), we will reflect and cultivate the mind, body and heart.
Designed to inspire and energize those who care about ecological and social justice, the
workshop offers a supportive structure for fostering resilience and directing the power of our human imagination into action in service of life.
Join Robin Macdonald, a Communal Grief Care Facilitator and Yasodhara Yoga Ottawa teacher, and Paris Marshall Smith, currently working with Kootenay communities to support low carbon resilient living, for this first-time offering at the Ashram.
