In Life Seals® you create personal symbols that represent your mind, essence, senses, likes, dislikes, and positive and negative characteristics. This process allows the unconscious to come forward, revealing patterns, life lessons and the potential for change. Life Seals® can open doors of awareness and help you gain a new perspective on yourself and your direction in life.

This special five-day program gives you the opportunity to gain perspective on your life through two of Swami Radha’s most powerful self-development workshops – Life Seals® and Straight Walk®.
Starting with Life Seals®, you create personal symbols that represent your mind, essence, senses, likes, dislikes, and positive and negative characteristics. This process allows the unconscious to come forward, revealing patterns, life lessons and the potential for change. Life Seals® can open doors of awareness and help you understand yourself and your direction in life.
Taking your insights from Life Seals®, you enter the Straight Walk®. Swami Radha based this course upon an ancient Buddhist practice of self-awareness. The Straight Walk® includes several walking meditations practiced with observation and concentration. Steps are taken, literally and symbolically, to understand your perception and gain a new perspective of your issues and choices. You observe both your emotional response and rational thinking to help you make decisions aligned with your ideals.
Integrated in the program is personal retreat time to review and synthesize your learning so that you can apply insights into your daily life.

Realities of the Dreaming Mind

This five-day program taps into the devotional nature of the heart through music, sound and dance. Music & Consciousness is an original workshop developed by Swami Radha to awaken inner knowledge through the power of sound. Combining Music & Consciousness with mantra and sacred dance, this series offers a pathway to the Divine through creative expression.
In Music & Consciousness, you will listen to seven musical pieces and draw your impressions of each. By looking at the drawings in relation to your life, you can open to an intuitive sense of your path and where you are. This workshop provides an effective way to sidestep the rational mind and receive insights directly from your own deeper wisdom. Dip into the secret language of your unconscious – a world of symbol, myth and metaphor that can guide you in practical and mysterious ways.
The Mantra workshop will deepen your understanding of the effects of sound as you investigate your own voice through chanting. Mantras are words of power that are devotional by nature and can calm the emotions, improve concentration and promote healing. You will observe the effect of different mantras as well as the power of silence.
In the Sacred Dance workshop you have the opportunity to express feelings that are beyond words — that only gestures, only a look can express. When the body is an instrument of devotional expression, it is at its most beautiful. The art of sacred dance combines movement, music, prayer and reflection. Set to mantras, prayers and devotional songs, sacred dance provides a way to explore the body as a spiritual tool. (No dance experience is needed.)
Together these workshops offer an experience of self-knowledge and Bhakti Yoga, the Yoga of Devotion.

In the Self-Image workshop you will explore how you see yourself through written reflections and video recordings. The image you put out to others is the basis of responses that you get back. What is your self-image now? What do you want to change? You will be recorded in groups and individual situations. Watching yourself on video is a powerful tool for learning. Can you take a new look? Can you allow yourself to change?

By exploring your self-image and questioning who you really are, you can peel away external layers and come closer to your essence. These two original workshops developed by Swami Radha are often a pivotal point for self-understanding when offered in the Yoga Development Course. In this five-day intensive you are given the opportunity to face yourself and to see yourself in a new way.

With your learning from the Self-Image workshop, you then deepen your investigation in the Identification workshop. The question, “Who are you?” opens the doors of inquiry and breaks limiting concepts. Swami Radha emphasized that many of our problems arise from wrong identification. If you are the body, what happens when your body dies? If you are the mind, do you change with each changing personality aspect? Who are you underneath the shifting personalities? The Divine Light Invocation is offered as a practice to support your identification with your inner Light and potential.

Kundalini and Dream Yoga Teacher Certification is more than teacher training; it is an adventure of expanding awareness and discovering potential. This intensive two-week program is a profound experience of being together with others of like-mind and coming closer to your own self. The questions “Who am I?” and “What is the purpose of my life?” are the foundation of an ongoing self-inquiry that leads to transformation.
Using the questions and practices in Kundalini Yoga for the West, you will study energy, imagination, emotions, heart, will, mind, consciousness, the power of choice, the power of the senses, the power of speech. You create plans and teach in small group sessions with your colleagues. Learning to maintain a focus on Light, you build an adjustable framework to meet your students’ needs.
As part of this course, you also explore the unconscious levels of mind through recording and interpreting your dreams. Using Swami Radha’s Dream Yoga method, you access the meaning of your dreams and tap the benefits of that inner wisdom. Then in small groups you learn to guide others in their dream interpretations by asking questions, offering tools and helping each person unlock the symbolic messages to attain insights they can apply in their lives.
To remain certified, teachers renew every three years. Many teachers return more frequently, finding this program an advanced learning experience and an opportunity to collaborate, to be inspired in their teaching, and to further their own personal development.

Spend two hours with two talented and experienced musicians and discover the expressiveness of ragas that form the basis of classical Indian music. Ragas evoke moods, feelings and sentiments in ways not experienced with other types of music. Explore why and how the mere acoustical wave patterns of musical notes affect us in such profound manners. Understand how the signatures of ragas etch distinct melodic and spiritual messages in our minds that are neither apparent to our auditory senses nor obvious to our intellect.
Raj and Utpal have been performing together for almost 30 years. Their music has been licensed to several prestigious museums as well as yoga and meditation schools. They have collaborated with several musicians of different genres, and firmly believe that music transcends all boundaries! Their five CDs with 36 compositions are available through iTunes and Amazon and many other online distributors; see indiepool.com.

This year to help celebrate our 50th Anniversary we have introduced a monthly Bhajan Blast. By live-streaming this musical event presented by our own “Elastic Band” and resident dancers, we invite you right into the Radha Room to join us.
Bhajans are devotional songs expressing love for the Divine. The Sanskrit word, bhajan, derives from bhakti, meaning the path of the heart. And a “blast” is a fun, enthusiastic gathering as well as a powerful electronic communication! We also offer a sacred dance, keeping alive the tradition so cherished by Swami Radha.
Please join us on Sunday, October 20th, from 7 – 8 pm Pacific for Bhajan Blast 10.
October’s dance will be Tirisiran Giriyan – a Song of Lord Siva, choreographed by Meera Grimes.

Join us for strawberry shortcake, used book sale, live music, kid zone, and community!
All are welcome. No need to RSVP.
You may have heard that we had a fire in the Temple. The fire was contained to the Temple building itself and no one was hurt. All of the other buildings and land are untouched. Even the garden around the Temple remains beautiful and pristine.
We want you to know that the Ashram is safe, open and welcoming. Our programs, retreats and courses will continue as usual, and so will the Strawberry Social!
At 2:30pm, we will also offer a special thank you to our volunteer firefighters and emergency services for their outstanding efforts during our recent Temple fire.
Thank you to all of our friends and neighbours for your kindness and generosity. Let’s come together to recognize and celebrate our strength in community.

What is Energy and how does it manifest? What are the secrets of the mind and heart? How do the mystical teachings of yoga help us to create the kind of world we want to live in?
Light & Vibration is Swami Radha’s final book, a culmination of her wisdom and teachings. In it, she attempts to explain the unexplainable, the dance between the mysteries of the universe and our place in it. In this course, using her teachings as inspiration, we explore our own very personal paths to higher consciousness.
The promise inherent in yoga is that all of us can access the hidden place of the mind, where Light is always present. Through spiritual practices, study and reflection, we will examine our understanding of mind, heart, Light and vibration, looking to unify the inner and outer worlds.
This special four-day workshop is led by Swami Lalitananda, editor of Light & Vibration.

Kundalini & Dream Yoga Teacher Certification is more than teacher training; it is an adventure of expanding awareness and discovering potential.
Prerequisites: Completion of the Yoga Development Course and the YDC book reports.

Learn what it means to teach from your experience through our intensive fourteen-day Hidden Language training process, and gain greater appreciation of the body as a spiritual tool.
Hidden Language Hatha Yoga is the unique style developed by Swami Radha that takes asanas far beyond physical exercise. From the knowledge, tools and insights you gained in the YDC and the foundation you built through the Hatha Teacher Certification, you will gain confidence in transmitting this evocative method.
As a teacher, you will learn to use the tools of metaphor, symbolism and written reflection to help others access the “hidden” messages of the asanas – physically, psychologically and spiritually. You can expand the potential of yoga by offering students an appreciation of the body as a spiritual tool.
Prerequisites: The Yoga Development Course, as well as the Hatha Yoga Teacher Certification. Completion of the YDC book report project is also a requirement.
Renewal: Every three years.

August 26-28
In this course, you ask yourself the question, “Who am I?” By exploring who you really are, you can peel away external layers and come closer to your essence. With what do you want to identify? Your body? If you are the body, what happens when your body dies? If you are the mind, do you change with each changing personality aspect? Who are you underneath the shifting personalities? The Divine Light Invocation is offered as a practice to support your identification with your inner Light and potential.
Cost: $395; deposit $100 (See our Cancellation Policy)

June 6-11, August 26-31
By exploring your self-image and questioning who you really are, you can peel away external layers and come closer to your essence. These two original workshops developed by Swami Radha are often a pivotal point for self-understanding when offered in the Yoga Development Course. In this five-day intensive you are given the opportunity to face yourself and to see yourself in a new way.
With your learning from the Self-Image workshop, you then deepen your investigation in the Identification workshop. The question, “Who are you?” opens the doors of inquiry and breaks limiting concepts. Swami Radha emphasized that many of our problems arise from wrong identification. If you are the body, what happens when your body dies? If you are the mind, do you change with each changing personality aspect? Who are you underneath the shifting personalities? The Divine Light Invocation is offered as a practice to support your identification with your inner Light and potential.

Change happens – sometimes its something you’ve worked hard for, sometimes it comes unexpectedly. After the change there is the transition, from ending to beginning, old to new. This means letting go of the familiar, navigating the unknown and creating a new reality.
Transitions are an invigorating and challenging time. In this course you will explore your past experiences of transition and identify what choices you want to make now. By working with reflective tools, such as writing and drawing, and a selection of spiritual practices to help you prepare for change, access strength during transition and clarify options for your next steps.
Experience how yoga can support you in times of ending and beginning, change and transition.

May 8 – 13 and July 27-August 1
This special five-day program gives you the opportunity to gain perspective on your life through two of Swami Radha’s most powerful self-development workshops – Life Seals and Straight Walk.
Starting with Life Seals, you create personal symbols that represent your mind, essence, senses, likes, dislikes, and positive and negative characteristics. This process allows the unconscious to come forward, revealing patterns, life lessons and the potential for change. Life Seals can open doors of awareness and help you understand yourself and your direction in life.
Taking your insights from Life Seals, you enter the Straight Walk. Swami Radha based this course upon an ancient Buddhist practice of self-awareness. The Straight Walk includes several walking meditations practiced with observation and concentration. Steps are taken, literally and symbolically, to understand your perception and gain a new perspective of your issues and choices. You observe both your emotional response and rational thinking to help you make decisions aligned with your ideals.
Integrated in the program is personal retreat time to review and synthesize your learning so that you can apply insights to your daily life.
Cost: $950; deposit $100 (See our Cancellation Policy)

What are your ethics as a yoga teacher? In this workshop, you will articulate your own values and participate in lively discussions about ethics with other teachers. Together we will explore the foundations of ethics in yoga through the study of Patanajali’s Yoga Sutras. Using the yamas (abstinences) and niyamas (observances), we will look at how these principles relate to practice and teaching in your own life.
Some questions for consideration: Are ethics a private matter? Is regulating yoga through an external regulatory board the right direction? What is yoga? How do you clarify and live your values as a yoga teacher?
This course is open to yoga teachers from all traditions.
Cost: $450; $100 deposit (See our Cancellation Policy)

Cost: $960; $100 deposit (See our Cancellation Policy)
Includes shared accommodation, three meals daily, morning hatha, retreat/workshop, and evening satsang.
