Experience the Transformative Power of Sacred Dance

Jul 12 – 14

In the eastern teachings the body is seen as a spiritual tool, a temple to the Most High. It is a way to be in touch with devotional feelings of the heart and to express these through a beautiful ancient language of movement.

Anusha Fernando, the artistic director of Shakti Dance in Vancouver, will be returning to the Ashram, along with members of her company, to be part of this special weekend devoted to sacred dance.

While at the Ashram, Anusha will offer an evening of Bharata Natyam dance called “Refuge—Finding our True Home”. The pieces are an expression of two central themes in Bharata Natyam’s repertoire: our longing to become intimate with our true nature and the importance of appreciating the ground on which we stand. The performance will be Sunday evening in the Ashram’s beautiful Temple of Light.

No dance experience necessary.
Fee includes Bharata Natyam performance in the Temple of Light with Anusha Fernando

Cost: $350; $100 deposit (See our Cancellation Policy)
Includes shared accommodation, three meals daily, morning hatha, retreat/workshop, and evening satsang.
