  • Teachers on Tour – Swami Sukhananda will be on the road in Europe offering her inspiring workshops in England, Germany and Portugal. Look for all her dates starting this December here. In Canada this October, Swami Satyananda will be leading workshops in the Okanagan, Swami Matananda in Calgary and Swami Samayananda in Quebec. For dates and descriptions, please see our website.
  • Media Visit – On September 13 three writers arrived to experience Yasodhara Ashram and some surrounding attractions. Dionne Daly, Guelph, ON, for Active Life Magazine, Joanne Sasvari, a freelance writer for the Vancouver Sun and Ann Yungmeyer, Tennessee, of GoWorld Travel were welcomed to a weekend retreat and a tour of the area.   • Promo Video Launch Soon! Amy Allcock, a videographer and former Ashram resident, has been gathering incredible shots of people and landscape around the Ashram. Amy is talented and also able to put people at ease, which comes through in her work. Dan Sequin, another former Ashram resident, added spectacular drone shots for the film. The script was inspired by Dave Sullivan, a participant of the 2019 Yoga Development Course, working with the Communications team. Thanks to all participants for their gracious time and enthusiasm.   • New Initiates – On September 8, Gurudev Sivananda’s birthday, Swami Lalitananda initiated two women into brahmacharya, a dedication to putting the Divine first in their lives. Leigh Monette took the name of Daya (grace and compassion) and Terry Taylor-Topp became Gauri (golden one). Their sanskrit names are reminders of the qualities they wish to embody.
