Make Your Own Journal

“Take time to reflect, take time to be holy.” With these words Swami Radha offers a way to return to the true source of inspiration within.

This month’s art project offers guidance on making your own journal. From sourcing materials to step-by-step assembly, access your intuitive self to transform paper and raw materials into a functional and beautiful creation.

There’s something special about creating the journal that will hold your thoughts, insights and learning, especially during this month of focus on study!

Follow the step-by-step photos below to hand-bind a journal all by yourself!

Choose materials that appeal to you for your cover and inside pages. It can be as simple as some heavy cardstock for the cover and white copy paper for the inside. Or you can try some chipboard, cardboard, or fabric. You might want to glue some pretty decorative paper to cover raw materials or even paint over cardboard to make it look a bit nicer. Be creative and have fun!
