Karma Yoga means selfless service. It is the foundation of our life here at the ashram. As we learn to work with the attitude of helping others, regardless of the task at hand, we uncover our own inner wisdom and unconditional love. Karma yoga is a practice that applies directly to daily life both inside and outside the ashram.

      Study yourself in action. Expand your mind. Challenge your concepts. Find the freedom promised in selfless service. As you work, ask yourself: What is my attitude to work? How do I work with others? What is the symbolic meaning of my work? Why do I do what I do?

Young Adult Program for ages 18-30
Broaden your understanding of your own potential and of what life offers. Learn to work-on yourself and with others. Practice focus, discipline and independence in a supportive spiritual environment.
 
As a valued member of the Ashram community, you join other young people in exploring options for your life and in opening your mind to new possibilities.
 
 The program includes:

• Karma Yoga 8 hours/day, 6 days/week
• Daily Hatha Yoga class
• Evening Satsang
• Weekly in-depth reflection class

You have access to the Ashram's resources-meditation rooms, library and dazzling natural beauty- and you can learn to establish a personal spiritual practice that will support you in whatever your future brings. The initial commitment is for 2 weeks and then you may apply to extend your stay once you are here.

Bursaries

Yasodhara Ashram Society bursaries are awarded on the basis the following criteria:
• Financial need (where other funding options are not available);
• Qualities of sincerity, service and commitment;
• Involvement in community (new students); and / or
• Involvement in Swami Radha’s work (continuing students).

Discount on all courses based on need
By application, Young Adults (ages 18 - 30) may receive a discount on courses. Get the most from your stay. Invest in yourself. Arrange your time to include a course and stay on at no cost.
 
Residency Program
Short- and longer-term residencies are ways to experience life in a spiritual community and to deepen your understanding of the teachings through service, reflection and spiritual practice.
 
The details of each stay are worked out individually. To be eligible, we ask that you be familiar with the teachings of Swami Radha and have some previous involvement at the Ashram or at one of the Radha Yoga Centres.
