In Durga's Embrace: A Disciple's Diary
What does it take to commit to the Divine?
In 1967, Margaret White, a housewife
from the suburbs of Philadelphia, met Swami Sivananda
Radha for the first time. What follows is her transformative
journey, taking her from Philadelphia to Yasodhara
Ashram, and from housewife to
sannyasi.
In Durga’s Embrace: A Disciple’s Diary reveals the dynamic relationship between guru and disciple through the story of two extraordinary women: Swami Radha and Swami Durgananda. |

the mishras : Live at Yasodhara Ashram - 2CD set
On a warm Spring night in 2003, two of India’s finest classical sitarists,
Pandit and Deobrat Mishra, played to a packed audience in the Temple of Divine
Light at Yasodhara Ashram. As the concert began a gentle breeze stirred
softly outside. Between the opening notes a bird sang her sweet note in anticipation.

Feeding
the Flame
a benefit for the
Ashram Young Adult Program
The songs on this CD were recorded at Yasodhara Ashram.
Young Adults came together to sing in the spirit of devotion,
love and gratitude. For the past 10 years the Yasodhara
Ashram Young Adult Program has offered people between the
ages of 18 and 30 a place to work, learn about themselves
and make a start on the spiritual path. The program
has expanded to include an internship program, which
allows young adults to be involved in managing Ashram projects.
Former Young Adult program participants have gone on to work
at and manage ascent magazine, timeless books, and
radha yoga centres in Canada and the US.
The Young Adult Program is entirely funded by donations.
All proceeds from this CD will be contributed to the
Young Adult Program.

Swami Radha
Imagination part 1 - 17 min. part 2 - 11 min.
If we use our imagination creatively, wonderful things
happen. By cultivating the imagination and trying out
our ideas, we gain the power to direct our lives. We
can lift ourselves out of self-created pain and fear.
We can gain the courage to look at the facts, to make
improvements and to correct our mistakes. Our imagination
is always active. Swami Radha shows us how we can use
that activity and that power.
Swami Radhananda
Myths & Storytelling 12 min.
There is an essential and simple truth to myth and
story – a truth that goes far beyond mere fact.
With two charming stories, Swami Radhananda conveys
the eternal message of kindness. |
